Who are we already keeping warm?

This is a large district general hospital with more than 500 patient beds and an emergency department. A long-term major client with a 900kW boiler and multiple hook bins, South East Wood Fuels have worked with the client to support and modify an ‘unloved’ boiler that had erratic service support and was not accredited under the RHI. Working with the NHS client, we pulled together an Action Plan that made modifications to the boiler and heat metering system and achieved RHI accreditation in September 2017. Working with partners, we took over the servicing of the boiler system in 2018, and made a number of fuel silo and boiler modifications to improve boiler efficiency and reduce breakdowns.
I like the way South East Wood Fuels have been prepared to get stuck into a range of problems with this boiler system, and get us RHI accreditation and a good new income stream. They’ve been flexible in dealing with us in a complicated PFI set up, and build confidence so we can now run the boiler system for longer and with far less down time.
